He is survived by: his wife Karen; his children, Joe Nikolay (Jazmin) of Georgetown, TX and Jill Sowada (Andrew) of Saint Paul, MN; his grandsons, Erich and Gabriel; and his siblings, Sharol Lehnertz (Bill), Dave Nikolay (Nancy) and Kitty Nikolay.
