It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Catherine Machacek (Hartford, Wisconsin), who passed away on January 31, 2026, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Anton Herriges and Ann Herriges (Staehler). She is survived by: her husband John Machacek; her daughters, Ann Peters (Roger), Peggy Machacek (Mark Karpfinger), Mary Machacek and Beth Cohn; her grandchildren, Andy Peters, Lauren Dewitz (Mike), Elyse, Nicole, Emma Karpfinger, Jenna and Kayla Cohn; her great grandchild Emerson Dewitz; her brother Br. Isadore Herriges (F. M. Cap); her in-laws, Bob Mushinski, Ed and Joanne Machacek; her daughter Amy; her siblings, Richard Herriges (Audrey), Harriet Peters (Donald), Marion Yank (Paul), Leander Herriges (Erlene), Adeline Niemeier (John) and Joan Lehr (Ernie); her parents-in-law, Ed and Genevieve Machacek; and her sister-in-law Suzanne Mushinski. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and friends.
