He was predeceased by: his parents, Edmund Key and Nora Key; his wife Elaine Key; and his siblings, Robert Key (Dorothy), Otis Key (Elaine), Donald Key (Viola), Delores Wade (DeWayne) and Diana Witte (Clifford).
He is survived by: his sons, Jeff Key (Lynn) of Brookfield, Bruce Key (Karen) of Green Bay and Kevin Key (Audrey) of Slinger; his grandchildren, Jennifer Wilke, Gregg Wilke (Stephanie), Justin Key (Sarah), Samantha Key (Jason Revels) and Rex Key; and his great grandchildren, Jack, Oliver Key, Chase Revels and Charlie Waschow. He is also survived by relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the Shimon Funeral Home (824 Union St, Hartford, WI 53027). The military honors was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A committal service was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery W. (1185 W Sumner St, Hartford, WI 53027). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 at the Shimon Funeral Home (824 Union St, Hartford, WI 53027).
