She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Eschenbach and Anna Eschenbach; her husband Harold Miller; and her siblings, Lois French and Walter Eschenbach.

She is survived by: her daughters, Kathleen Schnagl (Gene), Nancy Stemper (Bill) and Barbara Mertz (Rob); her grandchildren, Katie Luedtke, Bobby Stemper (Alicia), Lauren Hally (John), Kristina Twing (Cole), Danny Stemper (Alisa), Jenna Mertz and Abby Mertz; and her sister-in-law Carleen Eschenbach. She is also survived by fourteen great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Joan's name are appreciated to St. Kilian Catholic Church.
