He was predeceased by : his grandparents, Harold, Adeline Albrecht, Alfred and Catherine Klein; his aunts and uncles, Marlyn Peper, Pauline Misky, Dick Klein and Shirley Klein; and his cousin Daniel Briesmeister.

He is survived by : his parents, Jean A. Albrecht and Dennis G. Albrecht; his sister Katie Nesheim (Shane); his nephews, Luke and Cooper; and his aunts and uncles, Alan Klein (Mary), Chuck Misky (Kathy Honerbaum), Sarah Klein, Ron Klein, Joan Klein (Nancy Wilsmann), Gini Nodolf (Rick) and Ann Meyer (Jack). He is also survived by many cousins, other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Paul are appreciated to Marsh Haven Nature Center and the Washington County Humane Society in care of Paul's family.
