PEWAUKEE-(nee Schmidt) Born to Eternal Life on Wednesday, September 27, 2023. Age 80. Dear mother of Steve (Jodi) Janke and Stacy (Josh) Wilcox. Loving grandmother of Megan and Kyle Janke; and Maddy and Oliver Wilcox. Dear sister of Robert Schmidt and Floyd (Carla) Schmidt.
Further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by her husband, Ronald E. Janke who passed away on August 26, 1997.
Visitation Saturday, October 7, 2023 from 2:00pm until Time of Memorial Service at 4:00pm at Divine Redeemer Lutheran Church, 31385 W. Hill Road (HWY 83) Hartland, WI. In lieu of flowers, memorials to ProHealth Care Foundation appreciated.
Barb, was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was married to the love of her life, Ron, for 35 years. They enjoyed each other's company and took many trips with family and friends.
She loved Pewaukee Lake, where she lived for 48 years. Barb had many hobbies and was very involved in the community. Her activities included Pewaukee Yacht Club, Red Hatters, book club, volunteering at Waukesha Memorial and town hall. Her most enjoyed job was volunteering for the church altar guild. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren, and especially enjoyed spring vacations.
