He was predeceased by: his parents, Mike Lazar and Martha Lazar (Misialek); his wife Fay; his son-in-law Harold Stamper; his siblings, Frank, Steve, Leonard, Marie Strelka, Alvina Palcheck, Sophie Cupinski, Regina Haines, Helen Sisko, Florence Babula, Elizabeth and Stephania; and also Paul Lazar.
He is survived by: his daughters, Vickie Schafer (Ken), Lisa Stamper and Ann Lazar; his grandchildren, Brianna Lazar and Michael Schafer; and his great grandchild Raymond Lazar-Webster.
