Birgit Linnea Hanson Obituary
We are sad to announce that on February 27, 2025, at the age of 93, Birgit Linnea Hanson of Hayward, Wisconsin passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Andersson and Ebba Andersson (Johansson); her former husband Howard Hanson; and her brothers, Paul, Arne and Stig.
She is survived by: her husband John; her sister Gun Granton; her uncle Oscar; and her sister-in-law Ardys Jereski. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held on Thursday, March 27th 2025 at the Equmenia Church. A graveside service will be held on Friday, August 22nd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Greenwood Cemetery.
She was involved in the American Birkebeiner Ski Foundation and Race for many years.
