He was predeceased by: his wife Gertraude; his parents, Frank Stanek and Ella Stanek; his siblings, Marie Schroeder, Ludmila Stanek and Edward F. Stanek; and his grandson Daniel Benson.
He is survived by: his daughter Joan Benson (Rick); his grandchildren, Bryan Benson (Amanda), Jonathan Benson and Sarah Gerlach (Dan); and his great grandchildren, Theo, Quinn and Hannah.
Visitation will be held on Monday, August 18th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Picha Funeral Home (908 Prairie Ave, Hillsboro, WI 54634). A memorial service will be held on Monday, August 18th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A committal service will be held on Tuesday, August 19th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Catholic Cemetery (519 Losey Blvd S, La Crosse, WI 54601).
