With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Laura Johnson of Holmen, Wisconsin, who passed away on December 16, 2025 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Leslie Jerome and Bernice Jerome (Tallman); her parents-in-law, Melvin (Pete) and Evelyn Johnson; her brother Duane Jerome; and her siblings-in-law, Myrtle Jerome, Kathryn Johnson (Boots), Dianna Brandt, Audrey Bakkestuen, Carl Gunderson, Willard Dokkebaken, Lyle Johnson, Norbert Brandt and Jerome Bakkestuen (Bud).
She is survived by: her children, Cathy Abbott (Dennis) of West Salem, Michael Johnson (Linda) of Ormond Beach, FL and Kelley Proksch (Michael) of Holmen; her grandchildren, Nathan Abbott (Laurie) of Appleton, Kirsten Johnson of Palm Coast, FL and Jessica Smith of Tomah; her great grandchildren, Devon Smith (Brittany) of Spring Valley, WI, MacKenna Johnson of Palm Coast, FL, Joseph of Appleton, Benjamin of Appleton and Ava Abbott of Appleton; her sisters, Beverly Gunderson of La Crosse and Mary Dokkebaken of Holmen; and her sister-in-law Marie Baronsky of Kenosha. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to a local Alzheimer's Association.
