It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Bonnie J. Mengel of Horicon, Wisconsin, who passed away on February 22, 2026, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Franke and Marion Franke (Dewitz); her siblings, Diane, Dan and John; her granddaughter Melissa; and her great grandchild Baby Wisneski.
She is survived by: her children, Deb Schwoch of Waupun, Mark Shepard (Missy) of Tennessee and Patti Garcia of Horicon; her grandchildren, Austin Schwoch (Lacy Jericka), Amber Schwoch (Chad Wisneski), Kara Schmidt (Keith), Beau Shepard, Amanda Garcia, Aaron Garcia (Abby Balliette) and Alec Langkau; her great grandchildren, Cole, Willow, Jackson, Bennett, Owen, Kaiya, Kierstyn, Kaimera, Bohdi and Leela; her siblings, Ken Franke, Tom Franke (Karen Feucht), Tammy Blexrude (Steve) and Jim Franke (Patty); her close friend John Vetta; and the father of her children Dan Shepard. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
