With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Dorothy A. Schroeder (Horicon, Wisconsin), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 16, 2025 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her former husband Roland Schroeder of John's Lutheran Church; her parents, Carl Hammann and Viola Hammann (Rothenberger); and her siblings, Art Hammann, Ken Hammann, Bernice Metke, Helen Sauer and Eileen Sellnow.
She is survived by: her children, David Schroeder (Christine), Robert Schroeder (Terese) and Barbara Knutson (Michael); her grandchildren, Alyssa (Evan Ragland), Austin Schroeder (Amalia), Adrian Schroeder (Lauren), Dustin Schroeder and Eliott Schroeder (Stacey); her fiancé Kelsey Maurer (Joseph Clemons II); her great grandchildren, Liam, Asher, Roland Schroeder, Palmer Schroeder, Arianna, Dreyson, Aubrey, Ella Schroeder, Joseph III, Jordan Clemons, Isabella and Alina Indra; her sister Betty Kempf (Russell); her siblings-in-law, Joanne Hammann, Lloyd Metke, Delmar Sauer and Kenneth Sellnow; her in-laws, Hedwig and Erich; and her siblings-in-law, Russell Pluedeman and Lorraine Pluedeman.
Memorials may be directed to St. Stephen's Lutheran Church in Horicon or in keeping with the spirit of giving, a nonperishable food item may be brought to church to donate to the food pantry.
