He was predeceased by: his parents, Elroy Uelmen and Evelyn Uelmen; his brother-in-law Ray; and his grandson CJ. He is survived by: his fiancé Jean Giese; his children, Jennifer Uelmen (Marchello) and Nicholas Uelmen (Fostina); his stepdaughter Tania Giese; his grandchildren, Xavier, Isaac, Liziyah, Malachi, Natasha, Jazlynn, Destiny and Mariah; and his siblings, Lloyd Uelmen (Linda), Carol Sabish, Elaine Maurer (Ray), Jane Tolonen (Dave) and Cheryl Olson (Bob).
