She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Gries and Mary Ann Gries (Bogenschuetz); her father-in-law Donald Salm; her siblings, JoAnn Meves, Beatrice Meyer (Wally) and Joseph Gries; her brother-in-law Larry Brendel; and her granddaughter Autumn Salm.
She is survived by: her husband David Salm; her children, Amy Clark (Sam) of Sheboygan, Tim Salm (Jeanelle) of Appleton and Heidi Benning (Ryan) of Rock City, Illinois; her grandchildren, Mason, Trevor, Lydia, Sarah, Isaiah, Levi, Wyatt, Connor, Norah, Brynlee, Easton and Micah; and her siblings, Geri Brendel, Diane Kress and Robert Gries (Linda). She is also survived by many extended family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like memorial contributions to be made to a charity of choice in Karen's name.
