Donald J. Slichter Obituary

Don went into the arms of the lord on October 3, 2025 at the age of 85, surrounded by family.

Loving husband of Susan (nee Lorge) Slichter of 20 years.

Loving dad of Steve (Jennifer) Slichter, Lynn (Jason) Holmes, John (Carol) Slichter, Anne Slichter, Amy Naber, and their mother Susan Dewey. Honorary father of Jill Repinski.

Doting grandpa of Julie (Zach) Robbins, Mariah (Nick) Stegall, Elise (Zack) Schmidt, Brittany Slichter, Sarah Naber, Jason Slichter, Dani Naber, Jenna Slichter, and honorary grandpa of Sean, Ellie, and Carson Repinski.

Brother of Richard and Randy Slichter.

Further survived by family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Harold & Grace Slichter, and brother Robert Slichter.

Don was a very good square dance & round dance dancer to the delight of the ladies. He loved different kinds of music, mostly organ and classical music. He had a good bass voice and sang in our church choir. He shall be very missed by his wife & family. Don fought the good fight, he finished the race, and he kept the faith.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, October 18th at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church (1350 Wisconsin 175, Hubertus, WI 53033) from 1:00 pm until time of service at 2:30 pm. A reception to follow at the Fellowship Center.
