La Verne Borchardt Obituary
La Verne entered into Eternal Life on August 13, 2023, at the age of 98. She was the loving wife of the late Frederick for 53 years. Beloved mother of Bruce (Ruth). Grandmother of Mitchell and Cody. Sister of the late Adoree (late Galen) Brunner, Delores (late Alvin) Sova, Virgely (late Ronald) Dax, late Clifford, late Vernon (late Rita), Wesely (Marilyn), Donald (late Connie), Garon (Lois). She was preceded in death by her beloved parents Rose and Vernon.
La Verne was a lifelong lioness. She even served as President of the new Berlin Lionesses for several years.
She loved to travel and was very adventurous. She visited places in Europe, South America, and many others.
She was an accomplished seamstress and cake maker. She made many beautiful wedding cakes as gifts for family and friends. La Verne also enjoyed model trains, stained glass, and collecting porcelain birds. Although, she especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Visitation will be on Friday, September 22, 2023, at St. Gabriel Parish, 1200 St. Gabriel Way Hubertus, from 12pm until time of Mass at 2pm. Memorials directed to the Alzheimer's Association are appreciated.
