He was predeceased by: his parents, Bob Smith and Betty Smith (Grady); his wife Jeanne Smith (Olson); and his brothers, Kevin Smith and Mark.
He is survived by: his children, Keely Ellyson (Dan), Toby Smith (Nickie) and Kendra Stephens (Joe); his granddaughters, Ava Ellyson, Alexandra Ellyson, Aubree Ellyson, Savanah Smith and Charlie Stephens; his sister Peggy Wolff; and his sister-in-law Cindy Kirchner. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
A celebration of life was held on Wednesday, July 16th 2025 from 2:30 PM to 3:00 PM at the Hudson Funeral Home Chapel (520 11th St, Hudson, WI 54016). Visitation was held on Wednesday, July 16th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the O'Connell Family Funeral Home (520 11th St, Hudson, WI 54016).
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the family.
