She is survived by: her daughters, Kim Weikel (Bill) and Kathryn Getty (Aric); her grandchildren, Ryan, Lauren, Matthew (Kim) and Grace (Kathryn); her sister-in-law Susan Durrett; and her sibling's children, Win Brown, Stephen Brown and Meg Compere.
In remembrance of Mary Ellen's life and love, the family asks that any charitable donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
