He is survived by: his children, Christy Simon (Joe) and Sandy Dodge (Greg); his granddaughters, Rachael Simon-Miller (Zach), Molly Hesselroth (Adam) and Jennifer Simon; his great grandchildren, Mallory Hesselroth, Theodore Hesselroth, Neil Miller and Ingrid Miller; and his siblings-in-law, Georgia Fern and James Johnson. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Memorials are preferred to the First Presbyterian Church or to the family.
