He is survived by: his children, Lynn Rude, David "Petey" (Cathy) and Lori Zimmermann (Mark); his grandchildren, Jason, Elizabeth Rude, Robert, David and Samantha Zimmermann; his great grandchildren, Amelia, Joseph, Jackson and Georgia Belle; his siblings, Doug Peterson (Barb), Judith Rogers and Jerry Peterson; and his close friend Birgith.
