With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Wayne Eugene Koester of Hustisford, Wisconsin, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 7, 2026 at the age of 90. He was predeceased by: his parents, Edgar Sr. Koester and Katherine Koester; his daughter Jeanette Schmidt; his siblings, Edgar Jr., Lawrence, Heinz, Richard Koester, Rosemarie Derosia and Elaine Staszak; and his great grandchild Josie.
He is survived by: his wife Jean Koester; his children, Michael Koester of West Bend, Dawn Schmidt of Las Vegas, James Schmidt (Cheryl) of Iron Ridge, Pamela Schmidt of Jackson, Debra Barchus (Jamie) of Greenfield, Keith Schmidt (Sue) of Watertown and Carolyn Schmidt of West Bend; and his brother Raymond Koester of Pewaukee. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, as well as many cherished nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
