With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Edmund A. Lyga of Independence, Wisconsin, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 15, 2025 at the age of 97. He was predeceased by: his parents, John P. Lyga and Julia Lyga (Weinch); his son-in-law Bill Peterson; and his siblings, Harry Lyga, Johnny Lyga, Aloysie Lyga, Dorothy Kampa, Theresa Przybilla and Lorraine Prokop.
He is survived by: his wife Florence M. Julson; his daughters, Linda Peterson, Shelbie (Tom Reedy) and Roselyn Nelson (Loren); his siblings, Ernie Lyga (Barbara) and Rose Waletzko; his grandchildren, Stacy Sokup (John Doelle), Tim Peterson, Amy Laehn (Tom), Tasha Palkowski (Tyler), Riley Kupka (Heather), Alissa Nelson (Montarious Knight), Christopher Nelson and Mathew Nelson (Katherine); his great grandchildren, Courtney (Casey), Laurissa (Aspen), Aliyah, Dayton, Lydia, Andrea (Isaac), Kaylee, Sophia and Jaelyn; and his great great grandchildren, Peyton and Bill. He is also survived by the birds, visiting his friends.
