He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Thompson and Jane Thompson (MacEvoy); and his sister Carol Novak. He is survived by: his wife Donna Gunness; his daughters, Jennifer Wandtke of Amherst and Christine Makuck (Kevin) of Iron River, MI; his grandchildren, Mia Mitchell (Hunter), Kellan Wandtke, Carly Wandtke, Jessi Makuck and Wyatt Makuck; his great grandchild Owen Mitchell; his sister Wendy Mahutga (Matt); and his siblings-in-law, Jim Novak and Sandy Tatman (Don). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 5th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Voie Funeral Home (120 S Main St, Iola, WI 54945). A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, August 5th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
