He was predeceased by : his parents, William Van Epern and Euphemia "Fay" Van Epern (Meulemans); his siblings, Ray, Don, Richard, Carl Van Epern, Helen Van of Loo and Mary Lou Wolf; and his close friend William "Bill" Nussbaum.
He is survived by : his wife Sally; his children, Kristin Bouchard (Dave), Dawn Finch (Mark) and Luke Van Epern (Megan); his grandchildren, Jonah, Erik Bouchard, Kali, Karena, Ryan Finch, Sam and Olivia Van Epern; his sisters, Marion "Tuts" Kobussen and Karen Ramstack; and his friend Julie Nussbaum. He is also survived by brothers and sisters-in-law.
