He is survived by: his mother Lucille Kurth (Heider); his wife Mary Brandt (Svehlek); his son Mark Kurth; his grandchildren, Tanya Kurth, Hannah Kurth, Asher Kurth and Malachi Kurth; his stepchildren, Michelle Brandt and Mike Brandt (Tonya Bartoletti); and his sister Linda Kurth.
