He was predeceased by: his parents, Theodore Degner and Amanda Degner (Uttech); and his siblings, Kenneth Degner and Delores Behl-Strassburg. He is survived by: his wife LuAnn Degner of Watertown; his children, Sharon Selchert (Tom) of Juneau, Joanne Neumann (Doug) of Watertown and Don Degner of Watertown; his grandchildren, Mike Selchert (Julie), Rachel Selchert, Aaron Selchert (Kalli), Nathan Neumann and Connor Neumann (Molly); his great grandchildren, Macklin and Sofia Selchert; his sister-in-law Betty Degner; and his nephew Bruce Degner. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 2nd 2026 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Paul's Lutheran Church (W1955 Gopher Hill Rd, Ixonia, WI 53036). A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 2nd 2026 from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Monday, November 2nd 2026 from 12:00 PM to 12:15 PM at the St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery (N9404 County Rd SC, Ixonia, WI 53036).
Memorials would be appreciated to St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Ixonia or to the charity of one's choice.
