He was predeceased by: his parents, Clara Scherwinski and Emil Scherwinski; his son Scott; his son-in-law James Van Someren, Sr.; his brothers, Jerry and Eugene; his sister-in-law Barbara Scherwinski; his parents-in-law, Mary and Louis Linsmeyer; and his sisters-in-law, Dorothy and Lorraine Jablonsky.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Linsmeyer; his children, Wayne Scherwinski (Linda), Roxy Lind (Dave), Kris Person (Steve), Sue D'Amico (Tom), Amy Runge (Mark) and Denise Flanagan (Rick); his brothers, Howard (Judy), Rodney (Marilyn) and Glenn Scherwinski (Joyce); and his siblings-in-law, Vina Scherwinski, Louis Linsmeyer (Barbara) and Jerry Linsmeyer (Sharon). He is also survived by 17 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
