He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Karen; his children, Susan (Kevin) and Daniel; his granddaughters, Kari Oshinski (Paul) and Melissa Montie (Aiden); and his parents, Garrett Keel and Inez Keel. He was also cherished by his wife, children, grandchildren, great grandchild, two nieces, a nephew, family members and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. John's Lutheran Church are preferred.
