She was predeceased by: her parents, John "Jack" Dreyer and Elizabeth "Ban" Dreyer (Kohler); her husband Steve Nickols; and her brother John. She is survived by: her son Curt Nickols; her grandchildren, Jack, Charlie and Josie; her children, Katy Nickols and Ben Nickols (Nicky); her grandsons, Sam of Janesville and Hank of Janesville; and her cousins, Lucie and Mary of Atlanta. She is also survived by her in-laws, and many nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to the SSM Health Foundation – Mary and Bob Arndt Cancer Care Endowment.
