He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Thicke; his sons, Aaron Schmitz (Krissy) and Jeff Schmitz (Jen); his grandchildren, Brianna, Logan, William and Kate; his siblings, Diane Jacobson (Gary), Bonnie Manogue, Mary Nicolai, Karen Sumner, Deb Zauner (Pete), Monica Chapiewsky (Gregg), Mike Schmitz, Lottie Nuttleman (Kevin) and Laurie Swan; and his sister-in-law Sandy Schmitz. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews; and many other family and friends.
