He was predeceased by: his parents, William Behling and Gloria Behling (Austin); his siblings-in-law, Charles and Lola Granger; his stepmothers, Bunny Behling (Finnegan) and Betty Behling (Whitney); his siblings, Mary Terese Finnegan and Michael Finnegan; and his sisters-in-law, Connie Behling and Marie Behling.

He is survived by: his wife Charlene "Char" Behling; his sons, Brian Behling (Bridgette) of Washington, DC and Troy Behling (Amanda Schneider) of Janesville; his grandchildren, Grayson and Lola Behling; his siblings, Donald Behling of Beloit and Diane Sowinski (Butch) of Rhinelander, WI; his stepsiblings, Matthew Finnegan of Beloit, Anne Bauman of Beloit, Laura Hauser (Tim) of Beloit, Barbara Whitney Nelson of Loves Park, IL, Michael Whitney of Las Vegas, NV, Kathy Johnson (Gary) of Machesney Park, IL and Greg Huffman of Sarasota, FL; and his siblings-in-law, Mary Granger of Seal Beach, CA and John Granger (Jon-Ann) of Siesta Key, FL. He is also survived by several nephews, nieces and great-nephews; numerous cousins and many dear friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Rock County Cancer Coalition or Rock Prairie United Presbyterian Church.
