He was predeceased by: his nephew Bryan. He is survived by: his wife Susan Haney Tatge; his stepsons, Scott Tatge of Janesville and Greg Tatge (Kim) of Fort Atkinson; his grandchildren, Mikaela, Clayton of Jefferson and Baby Barrett; his sister Jane; his nephew Chad Schultz of Janesville; his siblings-in-law, Jim and Joan Haney of Janesville; and his nephew Tim Haney.

Memorials would be appreciated to Rotary Gardens, St. Paul's Lutheran Church, or a charity of one's choice in Gary's memory.
