He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Rasmussen and Fern Rasmussen (Ostrander); his wife Audrey Mae Kalinowski; his son Steven Gordon Rasmussen; and his sisters, Ruth (Dick Helleckson) and Eileen (Phil Falkenburg).

He is survived by: his daughters, Vicki Larson (Mike), Shelly Meister (Don) of Paradise Valley, AZ and Pat Kirchenwitz (Kurt); his grandchildren, Jessica Kennedy, Bethany Counard (Kip), Chris Meister (Whitney), Matt Meister, Tobi Brooks (Leonard) and Zach Kirchenwitz (Anna); his great grandchildren, Madalynn, Livia, Edyth Counard, Grace Kennedy, Henry, Sedwick Meister, Cameron, Braxton Brooks, Mason, Ava and Huxley Kirchenwitz; and his friend Thelma Wright.
