As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Janis may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.
She is survived by: her husband Willard Reck; her children, Jennifer Hurley (Brian) and Tom Reck (Kari); her grandchildren, Jonathan Hurley and Nicole Abendroth (Ryan); her great grandchildren, Caleb, Ben and Lily Abendroth; and her sister-in-law Marilyn Zimmermann. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Lutheran Church's Music Fund.
