We are sad to announce that on May 29, 2020, at the age of 64, Kent Vold of Janesville, Wisconsin, born in Newport News, Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Kent Vold and Marie Vold (Brown); and his mother-in-law Jeanne Fairchild. He is survived by: his former wife Brenda Howard; his wife Sheila Vold of Janesville, WI; his children, Eric Vold (Sara) of Janesville, WI, Jaida Uloth (Wade) of Austin, TX and Micah; his grandchildren, Cassidey Wolfert, Daisha Bishoff, Brennan, Hadley, Graier Vold, Kenlea and Lyla Uloth; and his siblings, Dennis Vold and Cindy McCulloch. He is also survived by friends, co-workers, and his beloved grandbabies.

“Kent was Best Man at my wedding (1981). We played guitar and learned songs. He was my boss for a short time at Benito's Burgers and Burritos in Monroe. I moved to Wash. state and lost communication over the years. I just found out about his cancer March 2021. I'm sorry for his family's loss and would like to get to meet everyone some day. Again, I'm sorry for your loss. God bless and watch over Eric, Jaida, and Micah.”

“I have worked with kent for the last 15 years at ssi technologies. He was very knowledgeable about his craft and very patient with his younger colleagues, which was much appreciated as a young engineer early in my career. I learned a lot from kent and appreciated his understated, soft-spoken manner. He was a fixture at our summer golf league and i always enjoyed playing with him and eric. Kent will be missed very much by the ssi family and me personally. Sincerely, alan richard”
