He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew Nelson and Leona Nelson (Rickey); and his siblings, Gene, Robert, William, Dale, Ross, Keith, Phyllis and Judy.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Jane Nelson (Hill); his children, Darin Nelson (Marilyn), Lisa Liebergen (Tom) and Laura Smith (Randy); his granddaughter Aribelle Liebergen; and his siblings, Shirley Thomas (Frank), Gordon Nelson (Sally) and Rick Nelson. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, November 8th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the VFW Post 1621 (1015 Center Ave, Janesville, WI 53546).
