He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Thurner and Bessie Thurner (Ellis); his siblings, Henry, Marvin Thurner and Betty Podwell; and his daughter Wendy Thurner.
He is survived by: his wife Lois Thurner (Ruskell); his children, Bruce Thurner (Mary Kay) and Lori Chobot (Clifford Kuhlman); his grandchildren, Abigail Henry (Andrew), Zachary Thurner (Michelle), Drew and Caitlin Chobot; and his great grandchildren, James, Callan, Noah, Jace, Aubrey and Calvin. He is also survived by many extended family members and friends.
