He is survived by: his daughter Haley Emerson (Jason Morris); his grandchildren, Auron, Axl and Ariel Morris; and his siblings, Don Emerson, Rich Emerson, Marge Overturf, Patti Emerson and Jim Emerson. He is also survived by many other extended family and friends.

We’ll, I just saw his picture with his obituary and there is no doubt - he was my friend! What I read about his life squares with my memories of him. “I am wondering if this is my friend from Marine Corps boot camp in the spring of 1968. The Bill Emerson I knew was from Janesville and we took boot leave together for two days. We went to Disneyland. I lost touch with Bill after boot camp but have never forgotten him. I was from Lincoln Nebraska but had lived in Michigan (UP) and Wisconsin so we had a lot in common.
