She was predeceased by: her husband Bernhard "Bernie" Gentz; and her siblings, Ethel Lauth, Ruth Drews, Marvin, Melvin, Roger and Leonard.
She is survived by: her daughters, Emma Klawitter (Hildebrandt), Diane Scheel (Ryan) of Lake Mills, Dorene Gitter (Frank) of Mt. Calvary and Denise Hrubes (Chris) of Madison; her grandchildren, Carrie Theder (Joel), Sherrie Finn (Scott), Kimberly Braun (Mark), Cole Scheel, Chase Scheel, Cynthia Gitter, Lana Holmes (Jonathan), Aubrey Huber (Jacob) and Aaron Hrubes; and her brother Hilbert Klawitter of Beaver Dam. She is also survived by 17 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Irene's honor to St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church would be appreciated.
