He was predeceased by : his parents, Linus Vogel and Coletta Vogel (Rueth); and his brothers, Bob and Clarence (Dorothy). He is survived by : his wife Dorothy Reich; his former life partner Arlene (Gosdeck); his children, Steve (Cindy) of Monroe, Joe (Michaela), Jo Ann Jeninga (Fred) of Delavan and Andy (Gail) of Jefferson; and his stepchildren, Judy Ford (Douglas) of Linden, VA, Christie Garlock (Robert) of Fort Atkinson, Peggy Paris (Joe) of Fort Atkinson, Kathleen Schultz of Sun Prairie, Roxy Granzow (Garland) of Fort Atkinson, Cindy LeBegue (Paul) of Clinton, IL, Rick Reich (Peggy) of Watertown, Sheryl Crusan (Bill) of Waukesha, Angie Gregerson (Ladd) of Columbus, WI, Janneyne Lovell of Fort Atkinson and Amy Speth (Gary) of West Bend. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren (and counting), many step-grandchildren, step-great grandchildren, and several step-great, great grandchildren.

He was also a blood donor for decades due to his having a more rare blood type, which he was very happy to donate and do something good.
