He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Gerhardt and Dolores Gerhardt. He is survived by: his children, Wendy Kopischke (Cory), Ethan Gerhardt (Stephanie) and Laura Gerhardt; his grandchildren, Jonah, Morgan, Makenna, Carter, Leah, Bennett and Evelyn; and his siblings, Roberta "Bobbie" Rue and Stephan "Steve" Gerhardt. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the VA or to a state or national park in Randy's honor.
