He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Courter and Birdine "Toots" Courter; and his aunts and uncles, Dale Kertis, Donna Kertis, Gilbert Kertis (Rachel), Laverne Kertis (Carol), Virginia Hansen (Jerry), Betty Keenlance and Richard Kertis.
He is survived by: his wife Susan; his children, Abigail Nelson (Levi), Emily Cuadra (Matthew), Ethan Courter (Allie) and Hannah Munson (Tyler); his grandchildren, Collette, Harland, Yan, Leo, Cal and Rudy; his siblings, Connie Belter (Paul) and Doug Courter (Dawn); and his stepmother Barbara Courter. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many good friends and neighbors.
