She was predeceased by : her parents, Elizabeth Cook and Earl Cook; her husband Earl Mitchell of Zion; her sisters, Norma Eagle and Sally DeTienne; her brothers-in-law, Richard Eagle, Benjamin Lynch and Lloyd DeTienne; and her son-in-law Rick Carlson.

She is survived by : her sister Colleen Lynch; her children, Cristie Wetherbee (Warren), Ken Mitchell (Carla), Beth Carlson and Ellen Snyder (Dan); and her grandchildren, Erica, Audrey, Kelly, Ryan, Kurt, Marc, Erik, Scott, Derek and Tim. She is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Saturday, May 18th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Congdon Funeral Home (3012 Sheridan Rd, Zion, IL 60099). A funeral service was held on Saturday, May 18th 2024 at 11:30 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, May 18th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Mt Olivet Memorial Park (1436 Kenosha Rd, Zion, IL 60099).
