He was predeceased by: his parents, William Szikil and Lucy Szikil (Slagoski); and his siblings, Stan Oliak, Frank Oliak, Regina Ungemach, Leona Webb, Verna Haubrich, Pauline Scuglik and Frances Holmes.
He is survived by: his wife Karen Szikil; his daughters, Kim Kukawski (Ken), Karie Damitz (Dean) and Cheryl Hyde (Joe); his grandsons, Matthew and Collin Hetchler; and his sister Lillian Lentine.
