It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barbara Smith of Kenosha, Wisconsin, who passed away on August 9, 2025, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Barbara had on those she encountered along her journey. Though Barbara may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, her essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Brown and Rosalie Brown (Bone); and her siblings, Adolph, Levell, Shirley, Emma and Louella.
She is survived by: her daughter Lottie Williams of Kenosha; her sisters, Frieda Calerway of Chicago, Yvonne Brown of Chicago, Carol Mahammed of Chicago and Denise Thomas (Bobby) of Chicago; and her grandchildren, Kameera Williams and Tamir L. Williams. She is also survived by her 4 great-grandchildren.
