It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bernice I Epping of Kenosha, Wisconsin, who passed away on April 9, 2024, at the age of 101, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Bernice I Epping to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Jacob Welker and Mary Welker (Buechner); her husband Eugene H. Epping; her siblings, Leo, Leonard, Jerome, Isabelle Knauft, Eleanor Cline and Rita Ensminger; and her sons-in-law, Joseph Doksus and Timothy Shaffer.

She is survived by : her children, Barbara Johnson (Robert) of Antioch, IL, Edward Epping (Marilyn) of Mitchell, IN, Diane Doksus of Climax Springs, MO, Joanne Rusche (Joseph) of Eagan, MN, Mary Ellen Shaffer of Crittenden, KY and Robert Epping (Lynn) of Eden Prairie, MN; and her sisters, Henrietta Hankes of Beaver Dam, WI and Mary Ann Babich of Vernon Hills, IL. She is also survived by her 20 grandchildren, her 35 great children and her two great-great grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Saturday, April 20th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the St. Therese Catholic Church (2020 91st St, Kenosha, WI 53143). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, April 20th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
