He was predeceased by: his wife Charlotte Rae Schroeder; and his siblings, Shirley, Hilda, Dorothy, Elaine, Donald, Bobby and Jerry.
He is survived by: his siblings, Chuckie Pate (Barb Rooney) and Roberta Baumeister (Paul); his children, JoAnn Engels (late Patrick), Mary Lind (Scott), Linda Blaine and Richard Pate (Cass); and his friends, Jerry, Kathy Anderson of Mississippi, Dave Callan, Glen Benson and Mike Hogan. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren with 1 great great grandson.
