She was predeceased by: her parents, George Diel and Elizabeth Diel (Hagopian); and her brothers, George Diel, Thomas Diel, Kenneth Diel and William Diel.
She is survived by: her husband Robert Plew; her daughters, Amy Phelps (Nelson), Kelly Essiembre (Steven) and Lisa Contreras (Jose); her grandchildren, Annika Essiembre and Alejandro Contreras; and her sister Elizabeth Cummings. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
