He is survived by: his wife Catherine; his son Ross Niemi (Jill); his grandsons, Ethan and John Philip; his sister Nance McClain; his siblings-in-law, Marie Trebec and Lawrence Trebec; his aunt Ellen Mayne; his nephew Jon McClain (Rae); and his niece Jacqueline McClain.
