He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Prell and Sylvia Prell (Kangas); his wife Diane H. Schwarz; his son Jerald; and his sisters, Margaret, Edna and Lorna.
He is survived by: his children, Brian Prell (Sandra), Sally Dudley (late Bo), Judy Bachmeier, Daniel Prell, Andrew Prell (Tammy), Jennifer Tromp and Suzanne Koplein; and his siblings, Lynda Davidson (Bob), Sandra Obertin (Lynn) and Ken Prell (Lynn). He is also survived by ten grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren.
